CPDA Training Programs Schedule – 2017 (as of September 20, 2017)


Criminal Defense Practice – Oct. 28, 2017 – Palm Springs (Cathedral City). Use THIS LINK to register with CPDA for this program. Use THIS LINK to reserve lodging.

Felony Defense Yosemite – Friday & Saturday, November 10-11, 2017 – Yosemite National Park. If you plan to a enroll in this annual onsite seminar, you will want to make your lodging reservations NOW at http://www.travelyosemite.com or by calling central reservations at 888-413-8869. You will need to provide the CPDA group code 10V2NC in order to reserve from the group block and group rate. Central Reservations regular business hours, 7 am-7 pm AZ time and they are open 7 days a week.  Additionally, once the room block is sold out in Yosemite National Park, the closest alternative  lodging can be found at Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge http://www.yosemiteresorts.us/ or by calling 888-742-4371. 

Both of them are located outside of the park on Hwy 140

Gas is NOT available in Yosemite Valley. Please also note that there is a Park entrance fee per vehicle collected by the National Park Service at park entrance stations (the per-vehicle fee is currently $30 as of 8/14/2017).

The Annual Juvenile Defense SeminarFriday & Saturday, January 19-20, 2018, at the Monterey Tides Inn (formerly Monterey Beach Resort right on the beach. This is the location where the seminar was held for many years before moving to the Portola the last two years. The Portola was not available for 2018).

Products and services offered by CPDA are for purchase and use only by full-time criminal defense professionals. If you are not a full-time criminal defense attorney or full-time criminal defense professional, you may submit a purchase request via email at cpda@cpda.org. You will be sent a purchase request form to complete and return to CPDA. After submission of the completed purchase request form, you will be notified as to whether you may purchase the product or service in question.

Individuals involved in the prosecution of criminal cases or law enforcement activities may not register for and/or attend training programs, purchase products or services offered by CPDA, or join CPDA.

Additionally, membership in CPDA or purchase of materials, products, training services or other resources produced or offered by CPDA is not available to attorneys who undertake representation of a person other than a defendant in a criminal case where such representation may be adverse to the interests of a criminal defendant and involves legal advice or activity generally associated with that of the prosecutorial function in the criminal justice system. This prohibition does not apply where the attorney in question is representing a victim who is asserting their rights under CCP 1219 and/or 1219.5.
