2016 – Juvenile Dependency / Juvenile Delinquency Seminar – Friday & Saturday, January 22-23, 2016  Monterey Beach Hotel (now called “The Monterey Tides Hotel.”  Program flyer will be posted in early December.

2016 CACJ/CPDA Capital Case Defense Seminar.  February 12-15, 2016 (President’s Day Weekend).  Hilton Hotel San Diego Bay Front, One Park Blvd. 619.564.3333 – San Diego  (the program will be in San Diego for two years while the Monterey Convention Center is under construction).

2016 New Statutes Seminar – Saturday, March 5, 2016 – Berkeley Marina DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

2016 Annual Defender Management Workshop –  Friday,  May 13, 2016 – Hyatt Regency Mission May, San Diego.   Previously held on a Thursday before the conventions, the new schedule moves this program to Friday, May 13, 2016 in San Diego.  Registration information will be sent out 90 days prior to the event.

2016 Annual Convention.  Friday & Saturday,  May 13-14, 2016 – Hyatt Regency Mission May, San Diego.  Registration information will be sent out at least 90 days prior to the event.

2016 Criminal Defense Practice – July TBA, 2016 – Northern California.

2016 Basic Trial Skills Institute – July 25-29, 2016 – USD, San Diego. Arrive Monday evening, classes run Tuesday – Friday with a mock trial on Friday afternoon.

2016 MCLE Specialty Areas Seminar – August 20, 2016 – San Diego, CA

2016 Homicide Defense Seminar – September 17-18, 2016 – Berkeley Marina DoubleTree by Hilton

Products and services offered by CPDA are for purchase and use only by full-time criminal defense professionals. If you are not a full-time criminal defense attorney or full-time criminal defense professional, you may submit a purchase request via email at cpda@cpda.org. You will be sent a purchase request form to complete and return to CPDA. After submission of the completed purchase request form, you will be notified as to whether you may purchase the product or service in question.

Individuals involved in the prosecution of criminal cases or law enforcement activities may not register for and/or attend training programs, purchase products or services offered by CPDA, or join CPDA.

Additionally, membership in CPDA or purchase of materials, products, training services or other resources produced or offered by CPDA is not available to attorneys who undertake representation of a person other than a defendant in a criminal case where such representation may be adverse to the interests of a criminal defendant and involves legal advice or activity generally associated with that of the prosecutorial function in the criminal justice system. This prohibition does not apply where the attorney in question is representing a victim who is asserting their rights under CCP 1219 and/or 1219.5.
